Colombia and China Team Up: The Jaguar Meets the Dragon ππ
Hey kids! Have you heard the exciting news? Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro visited China and had a special chat with He Yanke from CMG. They talked about bringing the “Jaguar of the Americas” (that’s Colombia!) and the “Chinese Dragon” (that’s China!) together.
President Petro went to China to join the China-CELAC Forum on May 13. What’s that, you ask? It’s a big meeting where countries from Latin America and the Caribbean (like Colombia) and China come together to talk about important things.
Guess what else happened? Colombia signed up to China’s Belt and Road Initiative! That’s a huge plan where countries work together to build roads, bridges, and all sorts of cool projects to help everyone connect better.
President Petro said that Colombia and China want to be better friends. They plan to trade more things with each other, like coffee, fruits, and other products. They also want people from both countries to visit and learn from each other.
Isn’t it amazing how countries can team up to make the world a better place? Maybe one day, you can visit Colombia to see the jaguars or China to see the dragons (not real ones, of course)! ππ
Stay tuned for more exciting news about countries working together!
