Hey there, sports fans! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ Guess what? China’s very own Liu Huanhua has done it again! He won gold medals at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in the men’s 102kg category! πŸŽ‰

The competition was held in Jiangshan, a city in east China’s Zhejiang Province. Liu, who is already an Olympic champion, showed off his incredible strength.

The Snatch Battle

In the snatch event (that’s when they lift the weight above their head in one motion), Liu lifted 171 kilograms on his first try. Then he lifted an amazing 180 kilograms! But Hasanbayev Davranbek from Turkmenistan lifted 182 kilograms and took the gold in this part. Liu got the silver medal here.

Clean and Jerk Triumph

In the clean and jerk event (where they first lift the weight to their shoulders, then push it above their head), Liu was unstoppable! He lifted 220 kilograms, then 230 kilograms! 😲 He tried to break his own world record by lifting 234 kilograms, but it was just too much this time.

Even so, Liu’s total lift was 410 kilograms! That means he won gold medals for both the clean and jerk and the total score! πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

Liu said, “I did well, but I know I can do even better. I wasn’t at my very best today, but I’ll keep trying!”

Women’s 87kg Category

Over in the women’s competition, China’s Tian Dongping and Jiang Yujia were amazing too! Tian lifted 118 kilograms in the snatch, winning gold. Jiang lifted 113 kilograms and got silver.

In the clean and jerk, Tian lifted 141 kilograms, and Jiang lifted 140 kilograms. Tian’s total score was 259 kilograms, earning her all three gold medals! Way to go! πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

Isn’t it exciting to see these athletes achieve such incredible feats? Maybe one day, that’ll be you up there lifting those heavy weights! Keep dreaming big! πŸ’ͺ
