But what are tariffs? 🤔 Tariffs are like extra taxes that countries put on products they buy from other countries. This can make things more expensive and can affect businesses that buy or sell goods internationally.
Out of 2,257 small business owners who took the survey, 66% said they have been affected by these tariffs or think they will be soon. That’s more than half!
Also, 70% of them think that the US economy is just fair or poor, and the same number believe that a recession might be on the way. A recession is when the economy slows down, and people and businesses might have less money.
On top of that, more than half of the small business owners are not happy with how President Trump is doing his job. They worry that changes in trade policies might hurt their businesses in the next year.
