A new report, called a white paper, found that lots of adults are thinking about weight management. Over 60% are ready to spend time and effort to reach their goals! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฅฆ

But here’s something interesting: half of these adults think they’re a healthy weight, but their Body Mass Index (BMI) says otherwise. BMI is a way to measure if someone’s weight is healthy based on their height and weight. About 14% of people who think they’re just right are actually overweight according to their BMI. ๐Ÿค”

Why does this matter? Well, being overweight can lead to health problems like heart diseases and diabetes. So understanding your true health is super important! โค๏ธ

To help with this, the Chinese authorities started a big plan in June 2024. They’re encouraging hospitals all over the country to help people manage their weight. By next year, they hope almost all hospitals will have special centers for this! ๐Ÿฅ
