How President Xi Jinping Honors His Mother’s Heart ❤️
Hey there! 😊 Have you ever thought about how much your mom teaches you? Chinese President Xi Jinping sure has! Let’s dive into an inspiring story about him and his mother, Qi Xin.
When Xi Jinping was a kid, his mom told him the story of Yue Fei. Yue Fei was a brave military leader from the 12th century in China. His mother tattooed “serve the country with the utmost devotion” on his back. This means to be loyal and do your best for your country. Xi Jinping never forgot this story. He said, “I bear the sentence in mind till this day, and it’s also a goal I’ve pursued my whole life.”
Xi Jinping’s mother, Qi Xin, is an amazing woman! 🌟 In 1939, she joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) and worked really hard in different jobs. She always kept the big picture in mind and influenced her children with her actions and words.
Family is super important to President Xi. Over the years, he’s talked a lot about family education and virtues (good qualities). In 2016, at the first National Conference of Model Families, he said parents should teach their kids with words and actions. They should help them “button the first button in their lifetime,” which means starting off on the right path.
When Xi Jinping was a teenager, his mom gave him a simple sewing kit. Inside, she stitched the words “niang de xin,” which means “mother’s heart” in Chinese. ❤️ This gift gave him courage during tough times and reminded him of his mom’s love.
Even though President Xi is very busy and can’t always spend time with his mom, he remembers what she told him: “Doing your job well is the greatest filial piety to your father and mother.” Filial piety means showing respect and care for your parents. So, by working hard for his country, he honors his parents!
President Xi works hard to make life better for families in China. He says that the people’s trust is what motivates him the most and is a big responsibility he holds.
Isn’t it inspiring how President Xi honors his mother’s teachings? Maybe we can all take a moment to appreciate our moms and the lessons they share with us. Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸
