Hey there, friends! ๐ Did you know that kids and teens from all over the world are sharing their thoughts about how countries trade with each other? Let’s dive into what they had to say!
First off, what’s a tariff? It’s like a special tax that countries put on things they buy from other countries. Sometimes, this can make things more expensive and cause problems.
A big survey was done with nearly 16,000 people from 38 countries! They were asked what they think about the United States putting tariffs on goods from other countries.
Guess what? Lots of kids and teens think that these tariffs are making things harder for their own countries. They believe it can hurt their economy, make things more expensive, and cause other problems.
For example, in places like Saudi Arabia and Serbia, more than 70% of people said tariffs are bad for their country. Even in the United States, many believe these tariffs could hurt their everyday lives!
Many kids and teens also think that countries like China are right to stand up and take action to keep trade fair. In fact, in 37 out of 38 countries, more people support these actions than oppose them!
It’s clear that young people around the world care about fair trade and working together. Maybe if we listen to their voices, we can make the world a better place! ๐โค๏ธ
