Hey there! Did you hear about the special tea party in Beijing? Peng Liyuan, the wife of China’s President Xi Jinping, had a friendly chat over tea with Rachel Ruto, the wife of Kenya’s President William Ruto!
They talked about how China and Kenya have been friends for a long time. They’ve worked together in lots of areas like education, sports, and farming. Peng said she hopes their countries can be even better friends and have more exchanges between their people.
Peng also shared China’s success in helping people out of poverty. She admired Rachel for her hard work in helping women get educated and supporting them to start their own businesses.
Rachel, who was visiting China with her husband, told Peng about her efforts to empower women in Kenya. She praised Peng for helping women and children in African countries, including Kenya.
Both ladies agreed to keep working together to make life better for women and children in their countries. How cool is that?
