A spokesperson from China’s Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun, said that China and the Vatican have been having good talks lately. Guo mentioned that China is ready to keep improving its relationship with the Vatican.
When asked about the Vatican’s ties with Taiwan, Guo reminded everyone that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China. He said that more and more countries are recognizing the one-China principle, which means they agree there’s only one China and that Taiwan is part of it.
China hopes that countries will continue to support the one-China principle and that the friendship between China and the Vatican will grow stronger.
