Saudi Filmmaker Dreams of China-Saudi Movie Magic ๐ฌ
Have you ever thought about making friends through movies? Well, that’s exactly what Saudi Arabian filmmaker Ahmed Baageel wants to do!
Ahmed is a production designer from Saudi Arabia, which is a country in the Middle East famous for its deserts and camels ๐ช. He traveled all the way to Beijing, the capital city of China, to attend the Beijing International Film Festival. That’s a big event where people watch movies from all over the world and talk about making new ones!
While he was there, Ahmed watched a Saudi movie called “Norah.” Guess what made him super happy? He met students who are learning Arabic, his language! Seeing people in China who are interested in his language and culture filled him with joy ๐.
Ahmed believes that movies can build a “cultural bridge” between countries. That means movies can help people from different places understand each other better. Isn’t that cool?
He is really excited about watching Chinese movies back home. He thinks it’s a fun way to learn Chinese. Maybe he’ll even use them to make new films that mix Saudi and Chinese stories!
Who knows? Maybe one day we’ll watch a movie made by Ahmed that brings together the magic of both Saudi Arabia and China. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
