On Tuesday, the 5th China Media Group (CMG) Chinese Language Video Festival was held, coinciding with the United Nations Chinese Language Day. Over 300 guests from around the world came together to celebrate! π
Mr. Shen Haixiong, who is a vice minister and the president of CMG, spoke at the event through a video link. He mentioned how more and more people are interested in Chinese culture and stories. Isn’t that cool? π
Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, the director-general of the UN office in Geneva, said that Chinese is one of the oldest and most influential languages in the world. She believes it’s like a bridge that connects different cultures. π
