Hey there, sports fans! Have you heard the exciting news? China’s own Chen Yufei just won her very first Badminton Asia Championships title in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province! π
In an incredible match, 27-year-old Chen faced off against her teammate Han Yue in the women’s singles final. Even though she lost the first game 11-21, she didn’t give up! πͺ She came back strong, winning the next two games 21-14 and 21-9. That’s what we call a comeback! π
Chen said she’s learning to play more relaxed and enjoy the game instead of feeling stressed. She gave herself an “8 out of 10” for her performance and is excited to keep improving. We can’t wait to see what she does next! π

- Men’s Singles: Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn won the title after defeating China’s Lu Guangzu. Lu had to retire due to a back injury. Get well soon, Lu! π€
- Women’s Doubles: The top-seeded Chinese pair, Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning, took home the trophy after beating Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida. Go team! π₯
- Men’s Doubles: Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik won against China’s Chen Boyang and Liu Yi. Great job, everyone! π
- Mixed Doubles: Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet from China’s Hong Kong SAR claimed the title by defeating Japan’s Hiroki Midorikawa and Natsu Saito. Congratulations! π
