China Says U.S. Tariff Move Is a Small Step, Wants More
Hey there! Did you know that countries sometimes put taxes called “tariffs” on products from other countries? This week, China said the United States made a “tiny step” by removing some of these tariffs on things like smartphones π±, computers π», and more.
The U.S. decided not to charge extra taxes on some electronic gadgets, which is good news for people who love tech! But China thinks this isn’t enough. China’s Ministry of Commerce said they’d like the U.S. to drop all the tariffs, not just a few.
Tariffs can make products more expensive when they come from another country. By removing them, it’s easier for countries to trade and for people to buy cool stuff without paying extra.
China is looking at how this change will affect things. They hope that the U.S. will take bigger steps to fix the problems between them.
What do you think? Would you like it if your gadgets cost less? Let’s hope they can work it out! π€
