🚀 China’s Space Crew is Coming Home Soon!
China sent three astronauts (Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze) to their space station over 150 days ago! They’ve been doing lots of cool experiments in space. Around May 1, they’ll be returning to Earth. They launched into space on October 30, 2024, on a rocket called the Long March-2F from a place called the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China. Space missions are so amazing, don’t you think?
🌋 A Volcano Erupted in the Philippines!
In the Philippines, a country made up of many islands, a volcano named Mount Kanlaon erupted on Tuesday morning! The eruption happened at 5:51 a.m., and the volcano sent a huge cloud of ash and gas 4,000 meters (that’s like 13,123 feet!) into the sky. People nearby are watching carefully to stay safe. Volcanoes can be powerful and spectacular, but also dangerous.
💰 Indonesia’s Money is Having Some Trouble
Indonesia’s currency (money) is called the rupiah. Recently, its value compared to the US dollar has dropped to a record low. This means that one dollar can get you more rupiah than before. The central bank is working hard to fix this problem by helping in the markets. Sometimes, world events can affect how much money is worth!
⛽ Good News for Fuel Prices in India!
In India, they have increased taxes on petrol (gasoline) and diesel, but the government says they won’t make people pay more at the pump! This means when people go to fill up their cars, the prices will stay the same. The extra tax money will help the government support companies that sell cooking gas at lower prices.
