Chengdu Kicks Off the 2025 World Games Tour! 🏆
Hey kids! Guess what? The city of Chengdu in southwest China’s Sichuan Province just started an amazing event called the 2025 World Games Tour! 🎉 This exciting sports festival began on Friday at Chengdu Sport University’s Sancha Lake Campus. It’s all about fun, sports, and showing the world what Chengdu has to offer!
A Weekend Full of Sports 🌊🏊♂️🎯
On Saturday and Sunday, athletes from all over the world are competing in some super cool sports! There are underwater sports like finswimming (that’s swimming with big fins on your feet—so fast!) and freediving (diving deep underwater without tanks!). There’s also lifesaving competitions in the pool, and boules sports like pétanque, which is a fun game where you toss metal balls! In total, 122 athletes from 28 countries and regions are trying their best to win 30 gold medals! 🥇
A Spectacular Opening Ceremony 💃🕺🥁
The Opening Ceremony was so awesome! It was held at the World Expo Park and had performances like breakdancing (imagine dancers spinning on their heads!) and traditional Chinese martial arts. The athletes marched in to the sound of drums, and everyone cheered loudly! It was a mix of old and new, showing both the traditions and the modern spirit of Chengdu. 🎊
Preparing for the Big Event 🌟
This event is also a practice run for the big World Games coming up in 2025! The organizers fixed up the swimming pools and boules courts, and they did it in an eco-friendly way by reusing 80% of the materials. That’s good for our planet! 🌍♻️

But it’s not just about sports! The World Games Tour also helps people explore Chengdu’s amazing culture.
