Israel Says It Stopped Top Hamas Leader in Gaza Strike
Hey there! π Let’s talk about something important happening in the Middle East. On Friday, the Israeli military announced that they had conducted an airstrike in Gaza and said they had killed Osama Tabash, a top intelligence leader of Hamas. Hamas is a group that controls Gaza, and Israel considers them an enemy.
The Israeli forces said that Osama Tabash was in charge of collecting information and helping plan attacks. There was no immediate response from Hamas about this claim.
You might be wondering, what’s going on in Gaza? Well, after a temporary ceasefire (a pause in fighting) that started on January 19th ended, conflicts resumed. Israel began airstrikes again, and also sent ground troops into different parts of Gaza.
Since then, several important leaders from Hamas have been killed in these attacks. But sadly, many people have been hurt. The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that at least 11 people were killed in the airstrikes on Friday, and over 600 people have died since the fighting restarted, with more than 1,000 people injured.
It’s a tough situation, and many families and kids are affected by this conflict. Let’s hope for peace soon. β¨
