Brazil says it will consider all measures against U.S. tariffs

Brazil Plans to Fight Back Against US Tariffs

Brazil Says ‘That’s Not Fair!’ to US Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum 🛡️

Did you know that countries trade things just like we trade toys or trading cards? Well, the United States and Brazil trade a lot of steel and aluminum. Steel and aluminum are metals used to make things like cars, bicycles, and even soda cans!

On Wednesday, the United States decided to charge extra money, called tariffs, on all the steel and aluminum it brings in from other countries. It’s like adding a tax. This makes those metals more expensive for people in the U.S. to buy.

Brazil is not happy about this. They sell a lot of steel and aluminum to the U.S.—about $3.2 billion worth last year! So, Brazil’s government is saying, “Hey, that’s not fair!” and they’re thinking about what to do next. They might even talk to the World Trade Organization (WTO), which helps countries solve trade problems.

Brazil says that the U.S. has always been a good friend, and they hope they can fix this problem together. Brazil’s President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, told everyone to stay calm and remember that they’ve solved tough problems before.

What do you think will happen next? Will Brazil and the U.S. find a way to agree? Stay tuned!
