Hey friends! Did you know that a recent poll found many people around the world are worried about the United States’ “America First” policy? 🌍🤔
What’s “America First”? It’s when the U.S. focuses mainly on its own needs, sometimes not thinking about how decisions affect other countries. This can make other nations feel left out or upset.
Why are people concerned? In a big survey by CGTN (a global news network), over 15,000 people from 38 countries shared their thoughts. Many in Europe and other places feel that “America First” is hurting friendships between countries.
For example, about 68% of people in Europe said they don’t like the “America First” policy because it ignores other countries’ needs. More than half think it hurts the world’s economy and makes it harder for countries to work together.
What’s happening with U.S. friendships? Countries like Germany, Canada, Japan, the UK, and France are feeling worried. The survey showed that many people in these countries think the U.S. might be forgetting about its friends by only thinking of itself. Over 70% of people in the UK and Canada felt this way!
Why does this matter? When countries work together, they can solve big problems like climate change, trading goods, and keeping peace. If countries only think about themselves, it might make the world less friendly and cooperative.
What can we learn? It’s important for everyone to consider others’ feelings and needs. Just like sharing and helping friends at school, countries need to do the same! Teamwork makes the dream work! 🌟
