Hey everyone, we have some sad news to share. 😔 In South Korea, a big accident happened at a bridge construction site.
A bridge that was being built in the city of Cheonan suddenly collapsed on Thursday morning. This terrible event took the lives of four workers, including two from the Chinese mainland.
Six more people were injured, and local authorities said that five of them are in critical condition. We hope they get better soon. 🙏
What happened? Around 9:49 a.m., five huge steel structures that were supporting the new bridge fell one after another. They had just been lifted into place by a big crane.
Videos from the scene showed the bridge collapsing in a dramatic way. It was really scary to see.
The Chinese Embassy in South Korea sent people to the site. They offered condolences to the families of those who died and hoped the injured would recover quickly.
They also asked the South Korean side to find out why this happened and to make sure the injured are taken care of.
South Korean officials are working hard to rescue anyone who might be missing and to prevent any more accidents.
