๐ Hey there, sports fans! Have you heard about the amazing Chinese speed skating brothers, Liu Shaolin and Liu Shaoang? These two are gearing up to race for gold at the upcoming Ninth Asian Winter Games in Harbin, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province!
In a recent chat with CGTN Sports Scene’s Mike Fox, the brothers shared their thoughts on last season and their big dreams for the Games. Last season was a bit of a rollercoaster. “It started a little bit rough. It’s not how we imagined it’s going to be, but the home competition in Beijing was really nice and successful,” said Liu Shaolin.
They helped China win the men’s 5,000-meter relay at the International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Beijing. ๐ “I think the overall performance is pretty good. There are always ups and downs in this sport,” added Liu Shaoang. “If you know the sport, it’s always difficult to be on the top. So, it’s normal to have some ups and downs in the season.”
Now, they’re focused on the Asian Winter Games. “We are in the middle of the season and the next competition is the Asian Games,” Liu Shaolin explained. “It’s going to be a really big competition. We like to be busy. We like to work hard and fight for the gold medals.” ๐ฅ
The brothers are training hard and are super excited to represent their country. Let’s cheer them on as they skate towards their dreams! ๐
