Sad news for fans of Eileen Gu! 😢

Chinese freestyle skiing superstar Eileen Gu has announced that she won’t be competing in the upcoming Harbin Asian Winter Games because of injuries.

Eileen shared on social media that she got hurt earlier this year during the X Games Aspen in January. She fell during a competition, and just when she was trying to recover, she got injured again during recent training sessions! Ouch! 🏂💥

In her post, Eileen said, “Today, I have to withdraw from the long-awaited Harbin Asian Winter Games with a heavy heart.”

But she’s staying positive! Eileen wishes all the Chinese athletes the very best and said she’ll be working closely with her doctors to get better. She hopes to be back on the slopes as soon as possible this season. ⛷️🎿

Even though she won’t be at the Harbin Games, Eileen has been doing amazing things! Remember when she won two gold medals and a silver at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics? 🥇🥇🥈 She’s been a real inspiration, even while facing injury challenges.

The next big goal for many athletes is the Milan Winter Olympics. Eileen is aiming for that too, and we’re all cheering her on!
