Get Ready! First Big Chill of 2025 Brings Snow and Fun to China ๐จ๏ธโ๏ธ
Hey friends! Are you excited about snow? The first cold wave of 2025 is arriving in China, and it’s bringing lots of chilly weather! Starting this Thursday, most parts of China will feel the cold, with temperatures dropping and snowflakes falling.
What’s Happening?
According to Xu Jun, the chief weather forecaster at China’s Central Meteorological Observatory, temperatures will drop by 8 to 12 degrees Celsius in many areas. In some places in northwestern and northern China, the temperature might fall more than 14 degrees Celsius! Brrr! ๐ฅถ
There will be strong winds too, so hold onto your hats! Eastern and southern coastal areas will feel the wind later in the week.
Snow and Rain Everywhere!
Tian Hua, the chief expert at the Public Meteorological Service Center, says that from January 24, heavy snow and even blizzards might happen in parts of northwest China. This means lots of snow piling up and roads getting icy.
On January 25, the cold wave will cover the widest area. Snow or sleet is expected in northwest China, north China, and other regions. This could make traveling tricky.
From January 26 to 27, the snow and rain will move to the northeast and southwest regions. Places like Inner Mongolia and the provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang might see heavy snow or blizzards. If you’re there, get ready for some serious snowball fights! โ
Traveling During the Cold Wave
The cold wave is happening during the Spring Festival travel rush, which is a time when many people in China travel to see their families for the Lunar New Year. With the snow and icy roads, everyone needs to be extra careful.
If you’re traveling, make sure to stay warm, check the weather updates, and be safe on the roads!
Stay Warm and Have Fun!
This cold wave might bring some challenges, but it also brings the joy of winter. It’s a great time to build a snowman, sip hot chocolate, and enjoy the snowy scenery. Just remember to bundle up! โ๏ธ๐งค๐งฃ
