Li Xiaoxu's block helps Liaoning end Shanghai's 16-game winning streak

Liaoning Flying Leopards End Shanghai Sharks’ 16-Game Winning Streak!

🏀 Exciting News from the CBA! 🏀

The Liaoning Flying Leopards have ended the Shanghai Sharks’ incredible 16-game winning streak! With a close score of 117-114, the game was a real nail-biter!

First Quarter Highlights:
The Flying Leopards started strong! Kyle Fogg and Li Xiaoxu sank three awesome three-pointers, helping Liaoning take a quick lead of 17-5. 😮 Despite efforts from Wang Zhelin and Eric Bledsoe, the Sharks were trailing 35-25 by the end of the first quarter.

Second Quarter Action:
Big guy Han Dejun made some powerful moves, drawing fouls and extending Liaoning’s lead to 15 points! But the Sharks weren’t giving up. Li Tianrong and Liu Cheng hit some amazing shots from downtown (that’s another way to say three-pointers!). Just before halftime, Bledsoe stole the ball and made a buzzer-beating layup, cutting the lead to 60-53. ⏰

Third Quarter Thrills:
The Sharks started to make a comeback! With more players scoring three-pointers, they narrowed the gap. After Bledsoe passed to D.J. Wilson for a three-pointer, the Sharks took the lead 89-88. But Fogg’s jumper put the Flying Leopards back on top, 90-89, heading into the final quarter.

Final Quarter Drama:
The tension was high! Bledsoe continued to lead the Sharks, but turnovers (losing the ball to the other team) hurt them. Liaoning took advantage and led 101-96. Midway through, Bledsoe was ejected from the game after a technical foul for flopping (pretending to be fouled). Even so, the Sharks fought back, and after Wang’s three-point play, they led 114-112 with less than two minutes left!

The Big Finish:
Kyle Fogg came to the rescue for Liaoning, scoring back-to-back shots to take the lead 116-114. The Sharks tried to make a comeback, but Li Xiaoxu blocked Li Tianrong’s shot! 👏 With only seconds left, the Sharks missed a last-chance three-pointer, and the Flying Leopards celebrated a fantastic win!

In another game, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers defeated the Jiangsu Dragons 92-82. Zhao Rui returned from suspension to help his team avoid a third straight loss.
