Guess what? China and the United Kingdom have decided to work even closer together! π¨π³π¬π§
On Saturday, leaders from both countries met in Beijing for the 11th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue. That’s a big meeting where they talk about money matters and how to help each other out financially.
The meeting was led by Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves. Think of them like important people who make decisions about economies in their countries.
Mr. He Lifeng said that China wants to be great partners with the UK, communicating more and making their relationship stronger. Mrs. Reeves agreed and said the UK is excited to cooperate with China in economics and finance, and hopes for a friendship that’s consistent, lasting, and respectful.
During the meeting, they agreed on many things that will help both countries. They also attended the fourth China-UK Financial Services Summit, which is another event where they discuss ways to improve financial services between them.
Isn’t it cool how countries can team up to make the world a better place? ππ€
