Hey there! Have you heard the news? Sri Lanka’s President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, is visiting China for the first time since he became president! ๐
From January 14th to 17th, President Dissanayake will be in China to meet with important Chinese leaders. He’ll have talks with President Xi Jinping, and he’ll also meet Premier Li Qiang and Chairman Zhao Leji.
Why is this visit such a big deal? Well, China and Sri Lanka have been friendly neighbors for over 60 years! They started their friendship back in 1957. That’s a long time! ๐จ๐ณ๐ค๐ฑ๐ฐ
The two countries are looking forward to working together even more. They want to keep their friendship strong, trust each other more, and do lots of cool projects together. This includes cooperating on the Belt and Road Initiative, which is all about building roads, bridges, and other things to connect countries better! ๐๐ข
Both China and Sri Lanka hope that this visit will bring lots of good things for their people. It’s all about helping each other out and making the world a better place! ๐
