On Tuesday morning, a big earthquake measuring 6.8 struck Dingri County in southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. 🌍 Buildings shook, and many people were scared.
But brave rescuers quickly jumped into action! 🚒 Over 10,000 rescuers came to help. They searched through buildings and rubble to find people who needed help.
Thanks to their hard work, they have rescued 407 people! 👏 Isn’t that amazing?
Now, the rescue mission is almost finished, and the focus is shifting to helping people find new homes and rebuilding. 🏠 The government is making sure everyone is safe and has a place to stay.
They have set up 187 special places for 46,500 people who had to move from their homes. These places have tents, beds, and blankets to keep everyone warm and comfortable. 🛌
Even 484 tourists, including 13 visitors from other countries, are safe and have returned to Xigaze. 😊
The central authorities have sent lots of supplies to help out, like 20,000 quilts, 2,000 bunkhouses, and 200,000 winter items to keep people warm. 🎁
