Hey friends! 🌟
Did you hear about the big earthquake that happened in Xizang? Let’s talk about it and see how people are helping!
On Tuesday, a strong earthquake shook Dingri County in the city of Xigaze, which is in the Xizang Autonomous Region of China. The earthquake was a 6.8 on the Richter scale, which means it was pretty powerful! 🌍💥
Sadly, 126 people lost their lives, and 188 others were hurt. 😢 But here’s where the helpers come in!
China’s Vice Premier, Zhang Guoqing, went straight to the area to make sure everyone gets the help they need. He wants to make sure that people are safe, warm, and have everything they need, especially since it’s cold in the mountains. ❄️
He visited the most affected places, like Changsuo Township, to talk to the people and see what they need. He checked out the rescue operations, how they are fixing roads and buildings, and how doctors are helping the injured. 👨⚕️🛠️
Vice Premier Zhang is making sure that rescuers keep looking for people who need help and that everyone has enough supplies like blankets and food. He also wants to make sure that buildings are checked so they’re safe to live in.
They’re also watching out for aftershocks, which are smaller earthquakes that can happen after the big one. They want to make sure everyone stays safe! 🌟
Rebuilding homes is super important, too. The goal is to help people move back into safe and warm houses as soon as possible.
It’s heartwarming to see how everyone is working together to help those in need. Let’s send our best wishes to the people in Xizang! ❤️
