China and EU Leaders Talk Trade Online! 🌐

Hey there! Did you know that countries sometimes have important meetings over video calls, just like we do with our friends? 📱💬 Well, on Tuesday, China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao had a big video chat with Maros Sefcovic, who is the European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security.

They talked about how China and the European Union (EU) can work together on trade, which means buying and selling things between countries. They had “candid and in-depth” discussions, which is a fancy way of saying they were honest and talked a lot about important stuff! 🛍️🤝

But there was also a serious part. Minister Wang was not happy that the EU included two Chinese banks in its new sanctions against Russia. Sanctions are like penalties that countries use when they disagree with another country’s actions. He shared his concerns with Mr. Sefcovic. 😟⚖️
