Israel, Syria reach ceasefire deal with U.S. mediation

Peace Deal! Israel and Syria Agree to Stop Fighting 🤝

Hey there! Have you heard the big news? After days of fighting, Israel and Syria have agreed to stop! 🎉

What happened?

In a place called Sweida in southern Syria, different groups were fighting each other. It was very serious, and many people were hurt. 😢

Because of the fighting, Israel got involved to try and help stop it. Now, with help from the United States, they have all agreed to a ceasefire. A ceasefire means they have decided to stop fighting. Isn’t that great? 😊

Who helped make this happen?

The U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, announced that leaders from Israel and Syria talked and agreed to stop the violence. Other countries nearby, like Türkiye and Jordan, also support this peace agreement. 🌍

Working together for peace

The leaders are asking everyone in Syria—the Druze, Bedouins, Sunnis, and other groups—to put down their weapons. They want everyone to work together to build a happy and peaceful Syria. 🕊️

As part of the deal, the Syrian government’s security and military will go back to Sweida to help keep things safe. The groups that were fighting will give up their big weapons, and former fighters might join the government’s security forces to help protect everyone. 🚓

Hope for a better future

The spiritual leaders of the Druze community, one of the groups in Syria, are happy about this news. They hope everyone can now use “wisdom and reason” to live together peacefully. 💖

We’re all hoping that this ceasefire will help the people of Syria live in peace and that help can reach those who need it. Fingers crossed! 🤞
