Hey there! 👋 Today we have some sad news from Gaza. Rescuers there say that 25 people have died in recent strikes. Among them were 12 people who were taking shelter in a school. 💔
The Civil Defense team in Gaza reported that on Thursday, an air strike hit a school in the Al-Rimal neighborhood. This school was a place where many families were staying because they had to leave their homes due to the ongoing fighting.
Many people in Gaza have had to leave their homes to find safety. Some are staying in schools, but sadly, even these places haven’t been completely safe.
Children and families were in the Mustafa Hafez School when it was struck. Rescuers said that most of the 12 people who died there were children and women. 😢
There were also other attacks reported. In Beit Lahia, three people lost their lives due to shelling. In Jabalia, one person was killed. In Al-Mawasi, a place in the south where many people live in tents, three more people were killed in a strike.
People near a place where aid was being given out were also affected. Six people died, and many were hurt. They were just trying to get the supplies they needed.
The Israeli military said they are trying to target militants and are following international law. But many civilians have been harmed. 😔
Since the conflict started in October 2023, many lives have been lost on both sides. It’s a very tough time for everyone involved, especially the children and families who just want peace.
