WHO Brings Much-Needed Medical Help to Gaza! ๐Ÿš‘

The World Health Organization (WHO) has sent its first medical supplies to Gaza since March 2! Nine big trucks full of important medical items like medicines, 2,000 units of blood, and 1,500 units of plasma rolled into Gaza on June 25. ๐ŸŽ‰

This is super important because many people in Gaza need medical help. Hospitals have been running low on supplies, and lots of people are getting sick or injured. The WHO’s chief, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that these supplies will go to the hospitals that need them the most in the coming days. ๐Ÿฅ

But guess what? Dr. Tedros also said that this is just a “drop in the ocean.” ๐ŸŒŠ That means that even though this help is great, much more is needed to help everyone. He called for more aid to be allowed into Gaza so that doctors and nurses can keep helping people. โค๏ธ

Recently, over 19,000 cases of a sickness called acute watery diarrhea were reported in Gaza. ๐Ÿ˜ท There were also over 200 cases each of other illnesses like acute jaundice syndrome and bloody diarrhea. These sicknesses are happening because people don’t have clean water to drink or proper places to wash their hands. ๐Ÿšฐ

The United Nations says that more fuel, medical supplies, and clean water are urgently needed to stop more people from getting sick. They are asking for more aid to be let into Gaza through different routes, so that it can be safely given to the people who need it. ๐Ÿ™

Let’s hope more help arrives soon! ๐ŸŒŸ
