Hey there! Did you know that neighbors can sometimes have disagreements, just like friends? Well, Cambodia and Thailand, two countries in Asia, have been talking to solve some issues about their borders! ๐ค๐
Over the weekend, officials from both countries met in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, for two days of friendly talks. They discussed how to agree on the exact lines that separate their countries. Isn’t that cool? They’re working together to make things better for everyone! ๐
They decided to send a team to check and mark the borders so that there are no misunderstandings. This way, people living near the borders will know exactly where each country begins and ends.
But there are still a few areas where they haven’t agreed yet. Cambodia wants to take these issues to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which is like a big global court that helps countries solve problems peacefully. Thailand prefers to keep talking together to find a solution.
Even though they haven’t solved everything yet, it’s great to see countries working together and talking things out! It teaches us that communication and cooperation are super important, whether between friends or countries. ๐
The next meeting will be in September, and we hope they continue to make progress! Let’s cheer them on! ๐
