Hey there! Have you heard the big news from Vietnam? ๐ป๐ณ Theyโre making some major changes to their map!
On Thursday, Vietnam’s National Assembly decided to merge many of its provinces. This means they’re reducing the number of provinces and cities from 63 to just 34! That’s almost half! ๐ฎ
So, why are they doing this? Well, by combining provinces, Vietnam hopes to make things run more smoothly. Think of it like cleaning up your room and organizing things better. ๐งนโจ
The government plans to create 23 new areas by merging 52 provinces. Now, there will be 6 big cities and 28 provinces.
This change also means they’ll have fewer government workers. They’re planning to reduce about 250,000 staff members. That’s a lot! ๐ฒ But don’t worry, this is to help save money and make things work better. They expect to save over 190 trillion Vietnam dong (that’s a LOT of money!) between 2026 and 2030. ๐ฐ
The new provinces will officially start working together from July 1. Until then, the central government will help everyone adjust to the new changes.
Isn’t it interesting how countries can reorganize to improve? Maybe we can learn a thing or two about teamwork and organization from them! ๐ค
