Air India Plane Crashes in Ahmedabad, India 😢

Hey friends, we have some very sad news to share. An Air India airplane with 242 people on board crashed on Thursday in the city of Ahmedabad, India.

The plane was flying to London but crashed just after taking off. It sadly hit a building where doctors were staying, called a hostel, which made things even worse.

Sadly, at least 247 people lost their lives, including 5 students who were studying to become doctors. The passengers were from different countries: 169 were from India, 53 from the UK, 7 from Portugal, and 1 from Canada.

The pilots sent a special emergency message called a “mayday call” right before the crash. This tells people on the ground that something is very wrong and they need help immediately.

India’s Aviation Minister, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, said that all the people who help in emergencies are working together to do everything they can.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this terrible accident. 💔
