Kharkiv Faces Its Strongest Attack Yet
Hey everyone! Have you heard about the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine? It’s Ukraine’s second-largest city, and it’s been going through some really tough times.

Recently, Kharkiv was attacked by Russia using lots of drones (flying robots), missiles, and bombs. These attacks happened at night and caused a lot of damage. Sadly, at least four people lost their lives, and more than 60 people were injured, including a baby.

Kharkiv is located close to the border with Russia, just a few dozen kilometers away. Because of this, it’s been under attack many times during the war between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for over three years now.

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, said that this was the most powerful attack on the city since the war began. He shared this news on a messaging app called Telegram.

Later, Russian aircraft attacked Kharkiv again with bombs. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, called this attack “another brutal murder.”

The Ukrainian military said that Russia launched 206 drones, which are like flying robots without pilots, and several missiles overnight. Ukraine’s air defense units, which are teams that protect the skies, were able to shoot down 87 of these drones!
