From June 12 to 15, the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is happening in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province. It’s like a huge fair where people from China and Africa meet to share ideas, trade goods, and plan for the future. Exciting, right? 🎉

Traveling the Distance
Even though Hunan doesn’t touch the sea, they’ve built super cool ways to send goods to other places. They’ve connected trains, rivers, and roads to reach 11 big seaports! 🚂🚢 This makes it easier for things made in Hunan to get to Africa and for African goods to come to China.
Because of this, trade between Hunan and Africa is growing really fast. From 2021 to 2024, it grew by 14.3% every year, which is faster than the average in China! 📈
Helping Farmers and Growing Food
Did you know that Hunan is the birthplace of hybrid rice? 🌾 That’s a special kind of rice that grows better and feeds more people. Hunan is sharing this amazing rice technology with African countries to help them grow more food.
Between 2025 and 2027, Hunan plans to send 50 farming experts to Africa and train 5,000 African farmers! They’ll teach about new machines and ways to plant and harvest crops. This helps make sure everyone has enough to eat. 🍚👩🌾
Learning Together
