Hey there! Ever wonder how countries share things like cool gadgets, tasty snacks, or awesome toys? They do it through something called trade! Now, imagine if lots of countries teamed up to make trading even better and easier. Sounds exciting, right?
Well, Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong, has a big idea! He thinks that if two huge groups of countries start working together, it could help everyone around the world. 🤝
The first group is called the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or RCEP for short. It includes 15 countries like China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and the 10 countries in Southeast Asia known as ASEAN. That’s a lot of friends! 🌏
The second group is the Gulf Cooperation Council, or GCC. This group has countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and four more from the Middle East. 🌴
Together, these two groups make up about 35% of all the money made in the world! That’s like over a third of the world’s piggy bank! 🐷💰
Prime Minister Wong says that if RCEP and GCC team up, they could trade more, create more jobs, and help people be happier. But why now?
Because the world can feel a bit uncertain these days, and working together can make things better. Just like how friends help each other out when things get tough! 💪
So, isn’t it cool how countries can join forces to make a difference? Maybe one day, you’ll be part of big ideas that help the whole world! ✨
