President Donald Trump wanted to bring back the golden age of American manufacturing. He used something called tariffs, which are taxes on products coming into the U.S. from other countries. The idea is that if imported goods cost more, companies might choose to make things in the U.S. instead. 📈
But here’s the big question: Even if there are more factory jobs, do people want to work in them? 🤔 Before all these changes, there were already about half a million manufacturing jobs that weren’t filled! That means there were lots of job openings, but not enough people applying.
