China Wants You to Help Explore Mars! ๐
Hey, future space explorers! ๐ Have you ever dreamed of sending something to Mars? Well, guess what? China is inviting researchers from around the world to be part of their next big Mars mission called Tianwen-3! ๐
The China National Space Administration (CNSA) is planning to launch Tianwen-3 around 2028. The mission’s super cool goal is to bring back samples from Mars to Earth! How awesome is that? ๐ช
Here’s where you come in! They need brilliant ideas for special scientific instruments, called payloads, to put on the spacecraft. These instruments will help study Mars like never before!
The spacecraft will carry six amazing tools, such as:
- Raman fluorescence spectrometer
- Ultra-wideband exploration radar
- Mid-infrared superfine imaging spectrometer
- Mars global multicolor camera
- Descent ENA aurora detector
- High-precision vector magnetometer
These fancy names might sound tricky, but they all help us learn more about Mars! If you have a cool idea for one of these tools, you could be part of the team! ๐ ๏ธ
The main mission is to search for signs of life on Mars! ๐ฝโจ They’ll also study the Martian weather, its rocks and soil, and how the planet has changed over time.
While all projects need to be led by institutions in China, including those in Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, the mission encourages international cooperation! So it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn and get excited about space exploration! ๐
So keep dreaming big, keep exploring science, and who knows? Maybe one day, your ideas will help unlock the mysteries of Mars! ๐ญ๐
