World Central Kitchen Runs Out of Supplies in Gaza 😔
Hey friends! Did you hear the news? World Central Kitchen, an organization that cooks meals for people in need, has had to stop cooking in the Gaza Strip. Do you know why?
They’ve run out of food supplies! 🥫🍞
For the past 18 months, they’ve been making lots of meals—over 130 million! That’s like cooking for everyone in a big country. They’ve also baked 26 million loaves of bread. That’s a lot of sandwiches! 🥪
But now, they don’t have any more ingredients left. Since early March, border crossings have been closed, so no new food can come in. Without more supplies, they can’t keep cooking.
This is a big problem for people living in Gaza. Many of them rely on these meals every day. Now, more than 80% of the community kitchens have run out of food.
Amjad Shawa, who works with groups in Gaza, says this could make hunger worse, especially for kids, moms, older people, and those who are sick.
“If we don’t get help soon and the borders don’t open to let in food and medicine, things could get really bad here,” he said.
