Wang Yidi’s Epic Battle π
Top-seeded Wang Yidi faced off against her fellow Chinese teammate Qian Tianyi in an electrifying match. It was a nail-biter that went all the way to five games! After both players won two games each, the final game was super close.
Wang was behind 3-0 at the start, but she didn’t give up! She adjusted her strategy, caught up to tie the score at 4-4, and the excitement kept building. The score was neck and neck until 10-10, but Wang kept her cool and won 15-13! π Now, she’s set to play South Korea’s own Shin Yu-bin next.
Kuai Man’s Journey β¨
China’s rising star Kuai Man played against Kim Na-yeong from South Korea. Kuai won the match 11-7, 12-14, 11-7, 11-5, earning her spot in the quarterfinals. Although she later faced a tough match against Japan’s Miwa Harimoto in the semifinals, she’s still a player to watch!
Chen Xingtong Moves Forward π
Second-seeded Chen Xingtong had an impressive performance against South Korean player Joo Cheon-hui. She won the match in straight games: 11-8, 11-9, 11-8. Chen will face Japanese seventh seed Mima Ito next, and we’re excited to see how she does!
Lin Gaoyuan’s Victory πͺ
On the men’s side, China’s Lin Gaoyuan, seeded sixth, played an intense match against Germany’s Dimitrij Ovtcharov. Lin won 11-7, 12-10, 12-14, 11-3 and secured his place in the quarterfinals. His next challenge is against South Korea’s veteran player Lee Sang-su.
