On Tuesday night, Ding played against Mark Williams from Wales at the Snooker Tour Championship in Manchester, England. Ding was already leading 5-3 after the first part of the match. But in the second half, he played even better! He won five games in a row and made a super high score of 102 points in the 13th game! 🎯 That made the final score 10-3. Wow!
Ding is currently the 9th best snooker player in the world and has won 15 ranking titles. Next up, he will play against Kyren Wilson, who is world No. 2, in the quarterfinals. It’s going to be exciting! 🤩
In other matches, Xiao Guodong had a tough game against his fellow Chinese player Wu Yize. Wu started strong, leading 3-0 and even made a high score of 100 in one game! But Xiao didn’t give up. He came back from losing 8-7 to win 10-8 by winning the last three games in a row! He will now face John Higgins, a four-time world champion known as the “Wizard of Wishaw.” 🧙♂️
Also, Mark Selby from England, who is world No. 3, won against Si Jiahui of China with a score of 10-6. Selby will play against Neil Robertson from Australia in the next round. The competition is heating up! 🔥
