A group called the Houthis announced that they shot down a U.S. MQ-9 drone over a place called Marib province in Yemen. 🛰️💥
What’s an MQ-9 drone, you ask? It’s an unmanned aircraft (kind of like a remote-controlled airplane) that can fly high in the sky without a pilot on board. Cool, right? But also pretty serious stuff! 😮
The Houthis said they used a locally made missile to bring it down. This means they built the missile themselves. 🛠️✨ They also mentioned that this is the 16th time they’ve done this since October this year! That’s a lot of drones!
They also said they will keep stopping ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea until the fighting in a place called Gaza stops. 🌊🚢 Do you know where the Red Sea is? It’s the sea between Africa and Asia!
The U.S. military has been carrying out air strikes in parts of Yemen. Some people got hurt recently, including a child, which is really sad. ❤️🩹
