Rescuers Rush to Help Myanmar After Massive Earthquake
A huge earthquake shook Myanmar on Friday, causing many buildings to collapse and leaving thousands of people hurt or missing. Rescuers from around the world are hurrying to help find survivors and provide aid. ๐๐ค
The earthquake was the biggest one to hit Myanmar in more than 100 years. More than 1,600 people have lost their lives, and over 3,000 are injured. ๐ข Many homes, schools, and hospitals have been destroyed.
Myanmar’s leader asked for help from other countries, and many nations have answered the call. The Chinese mainland has sent rescue teams, including the Blue Sky Rescue team, which is working hard to find people who are trapped. India sent doctors and supplies on big airplanes. Vietnam, Thailand, and Russia are also sending rescue teams and supplies.
Other countries like the United States, South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore are sending aid too. Even the European Union is helping by giving money to support the rescue efforts.
But helping isn’t easy. The roads are damaged, and there’s a lot of rubble blocking the way. Rescuers are working as fast as they can to reach people who need help. They also need more medical supplies like bandages and medicine.
Everyone is hoping that more survivors can be found. Let’s keep the people of Myanmar in our thoughts. โค๏ธ
