Hey everyone! Have you heard the news? There’s a group called the Group of Friends for Peace, and they believe that the conflict in Ukraine might be getting closer to an end! Isn’t that amazing? 😊
This group includes countries like China, Brazil, and others from the Global South (that’s a term for countries in regions like Africa, Latin America, and Asia). They met recently in New York to talk about how to bring peace to Ukraine.
Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, said that the meeting was a big success. The group discussed how important it is to solve the conflict through talking and diplomacy, instead of fighting.
The members are encouraging everyone involved to work together and find a solution that makes all sides happy. They want to make sure that the voices of countries all around the world are heard, especially those that might not always get a say.
The Group of Friends for Peace was formed last year with the hope of bringing an end to the conflict in Ukraine. Since then, they’ve been working hard to promote peace and get others on board with finding a peaceful solution.
