So, what’s going on? Well, in the capital city of Haiti, called Port-au-Prince, there has been a lot of gang violence lately. Gangs are groups of people who sometimes do bad things, and their fighting has made it unsafe for families to stay in their neighborhoods.
Imagine having to grab your favorite toys and leave your house because it’s not safe anymore. That’s what’s happening to many kids and families there. They have to find new places to live, which can be really hard.
The UN’s migration agency, called the IOM, is trying to help. They’re working to make sure these families have food, shelter, and other things they need. People around the world are hoping for peace so everyone can return home soon.
