Guess what? Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a special message to U.S. President Donald Trump about making peace in Ukraine! 🇷🇺📨🇺🇸

On Friday, the Kremlin (that’s the government building in Russia) said that President Putin sent a message to President Trump about an idea for a ceasefire in Ukraine. A ceasefire means stopping the fighting so people can be safe. ✋🤝
President Putin met with Steve Witkoff, who is President Trump’s special envoy (that’s like a messenger), in Moscow late at night. They talked about ways to bring peace to Ukraine. 🤔🕊️
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, told reporters that there’s “cautious optimism” about this idea. That means they’re hopeful but being careful. 😊
Peskov also said that President Putin agrees with President Trump on Ukraine, but there’s still a lot of work to do. 🛠️
