Have you ever traveled on a train? In Pakistan, some people were on a long train journey when something scary happened.

On Tuesday, a train called the Jaffar Express was traveling with about 450 passengers. It was going from a city called Quetta to another city called Peshawar.

Suddenly, some bad people attacked the train. They were called terrorists, which means they try to scare people by doing dangerous things.

These terrorists took some passengers hostage. That means they didn’t let them go and used them to try to get what they wanted.

But the Pakistani security forces, kind of like brave soldiers and police officers, came to help! So far, they have rescued 155 passengers. Isn’t that amazing?

The security forces are still working hard to save everyone. The terrorists tried to make it hard by splitting into groups and using the passengers as shields. They even wore explosive vests, which are very dangerous.

The government is doing everything it can to help. They sent another train to help with the rescue and made sure hospitals are ready to take care of anyone who might be hurt.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, praised the security forces for their bravery. He said they would keep fighting against terrorism until everyone is safe.

We hope that all the passengers will be rescued soon, and that everyone stays safe.
