Imagine if someone told you that you had to move away from your home to a different country. Sounds scary, right? That’s exactly what kids and families in Gaza are worried about. They gathered together to say a big ‘No!’ to a plan that could make them leave their homes.
On Saturday, lots of people in Gaza, a small area where many Palestinians live, went out into the streets to protest. They heard about a plan from former U.S. President Donald Trump. The plan was about moving the people of Gaza to other countries like Egypt and Jordan. But the people in Gaza love their homes and don’t want to leave! 🙅♂️🚫
They waved flags of Palestine and Egypt, showing that they are friends with Egypt. They even held big banners with pictures of Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The banners said, “Egypt will always stand as a true supporter and defender of the Palestinian cause and will never accept the displacement of its people.”
Families and community leaders said, “Palestine is our rightful homeland, and we will not allow anyone to take that away.” They want everyone to stay strong and united to protect their homes and rights.
Leaving their homes would mean leaving behind their schools, friends, and everything they know. That’s why they are standing together to say they want to stay.
They also thanked Egypt for supporting them. Egypt’s President al-Sisi said he doesn’t agree with any plans that would make the people leave Gaza. That’s like your neighbor standing up for you when someone tries to make you move!
On the same day, important leaders from countries like Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar met in Cairo, Egypt’s capital city. They talked about helping Gaza rebuild and making sure people can stay in their homes.
It’s a big deal for the families in Gaza. They want to keep living where they’ve always been. They’re hoping the world hears their voices. 🌍❤️
