Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said the ceasefire won’t begin until Hamas provides a list of the hostages they’re going to release. Hostages are people who have been captured and are being held by others during conflicts. 👫
Netanyahu’s office released a statement saying, “The Prime Minister instructed the military that the ceasefire… will not begin until Israel has received the list of released hostages, as Hamas has committed to providing.”
Hamas, the group that controls the Gaza Strip (a small area along the Mediterranean Sea), said the delay was due to “technical reasons.” 🔧
