Last week, a case of this disease was found in a herd of water buffalo near Berlin, Germany’s capital city. It’s Germany’s first outbreak in nearly 40 years! 🗺️
The UK government wants to make sure the disease doesn’t spread to animals in Britain. So, by stopping imports of German ham and other products, they hope to protect British farmers and their animals. 🛡️👩🌾
Even though there are no cases in the UK right now, taking precautions is super important. It’s like washing your hands to not get sick—but for animals! 🧼🐾
